THE COLONIAL AT SUNSET

This was the dream wedding designed by the best vendor team in the Tampa Bay Area of Florida. This shoot was inspired by the nostalgia and glamour of old Hollywood, the down to earth nature of its planners, and the luxurious editorial feel our brides desire.

I had the absolute pleasure of working with Brittany, owner of Elle Gray Events, at the brand new Colonial at Sunset in Dade City to bring our vision to life. We created a vision board, I shared my vision as a photographer, and she ran with it. After asking very few questions about the direction we wanted to take this in, she really nailed it to organize and design something more stunning than I could have every imaged. She pulled together the exact right vendor team to bring in all the details we didn’t even know we wanted and needed.

I also worked very closely with DeeDee, owner of D2 + Co, to turn Molly (already stunning when she walked in for hair and make up) into an absolute vision. I word vomited the look I had in mind, showed her maybe 2 inspiration photos, and they took it from there. Before I knew it, we had Old Hollywood meets 2022. This is a HMUA team you can trust with your life.

And a special shout out to South Tampa’s Malindy Elene Bridal! Their manager and stylist team has been a pleasure to work with since I started working with them. Their ability to take your vision and provide the perfect dress is unmatched. I showed them my vision board, they showed me ONE dress, and that was it. The Martina Liana gown they pulled off the rack was everything we needed for this shoot — so much so that we planned many details around it.
